Special notes

1.                  The year-long “A day/B day format” only applies to some AP classes scheduled

during 1st period.

2.                  Some AP classes scheduled during 1st period are not on the “A day/B day format”

and meet every day only during the Fall 2005 semester.

3.                  No AP classes scheduled during periods 2,3, and 4 meet according to the “A

day/B day format.”  All AP classes scheduled during periods 2, 3, and 4 meet

every day during the Fall 2005 semester.

4.                  Your 1st period AP class (denoted by 1-1 in the “Period” column) is on the “A

day/B day format” if two different classes are listed for 1st period during semester

1.  In addition both of these classes will be listed for 1st period during semester 2.

Another indication of AP classes scheduled according to the “A day/B day

format” can be found in the “Day” column.  One 1st period class will have

“MWF” listed in this column; whereas, the other one will have “TR.”  (Note: “R”

is used in our computer system to represent “Thursday.”)

5.                  If your child has 1st period AP classes scheduled on the “A day/B day format,”

his/her class schedule will list 5 classes per semester in the “Course Title”

column.  In this case, he/she will be able to earn 2 credits for his/her work during

1st period by the end of the school year.  However, even with the “A day/B day

format,” a child cannot earn more than 8 credits during the school year.
