Seniors and Senior Parents, please take note of this important information regarding Leesville’s graduation this Wednesday at the Civic Center.

The following items are not allowed in the Civic Center per fire code and Wake County security: glass vases, balloons, wrapped packages, camera tripods, and baby strollers. You will not be permitted in the Civic Center with these items.

Secondly, the building will open for ALL guests with tickets at 3:15. Handicapped accessible parking is located in the parking garage underneath the Marriott Hotel parking deck. Upon entering the Civic Center from the underground parking garage, an elevator will take the handicapped person and one other person to the handicapped seating area. One non-handicapped guest is allowed in the handicapped access area with the person needing assistance.

Thirdly, there will be scheduled intervals for applause throughout the ceremony. EVERY graduate deserves to have his name heard. Please remember to applaud at the appropriate times.

Next, seniors received picture order forms at rehearsal last week. If you choose to order these pictures, turn in the order form at graduation in the boxes in the lobby. Order forms will also be available the day of the ceremony and are currently available in the school’s front office.

Finally, before graduation day, please make arrangements with your children as to where to meet them after the ceremony. The Civic Center does not have room for all seniors and guests to meet in the lobby. Consider the Sir Walter Raleigh statue at the corner of Salisbury and Cabarrus Streets or McDowell Street where the new amphitheater is located. The back of your child’s Senior Bulletin has a map of downtown to help with directions and agreeing upon a meeting place.
