Treasurers
Report – Fred Wollman
Fred provided the Treasurer's Report for January,
stating the three PAC accounts (Checking, Money Market and Bus CD's)
totaled $80,043.77.
Fred
also provided a full-year 2005 Financial Activity Report, explaining
the key revenue and expense areas of the PAC. Some highlights show
that most areas for revenue generation are up, with totals from
2005 of $151,995 being 15.8% higher than 2004. Concessions, memberships & sponsors,
and camps provided the majority of revenue, with merchandise sales,
flowers, bricks and miscellaneous items providing the rest.
Total expenses were $136,292 up only 6.4% from last
year. Major expenses were the new weight room and equipment, a donation
to the high school athletic fund, a new football scoreboard, cheerleader
mats, track tent and meet software, and recently, a new tractor for
the baseball field and basketball shooting machine. Of note is that
60% of membership revenue goes directly to LRHS athletics for use
on many projects.
Thanks goes to many, many volunteers who have helped
improve the facilities and provided equipment to the athletes of
Leesville Road High School.
The Treasurers
Report and December minutes were approved.
Programs
and Ads – John Hawkins
John noted programs arrived and most have been used
already, with a few remaining. He will likely not reorder until spring
sports.
Memberships – John
Lemanowicz
John noted in place of Nanci that one new member
joined during the past month, bringing the total membership to 270.
Concessions – Sharon
Jaeger
Sharon noted that inventories have been restocked.
Discussion centered on the need for a new popcorn machine to replace
the older, smaller, broken one. A
motion was approved for $1200 to purchase a matching machine to
leverage supplies and to eliminate moving the machine between sports
fields.
Spirit – John
Lemanowicz
John highlighted that the golf team will be honored
at this weeks varsity basketball game. PAC Spirit towels will be
provided to the golf and wrestling teams. Also, a
$100 donation to the Lupus Foundation was approved recognizing Coach
McCollough's recent loss.
New
Business –
Mrs. Davis discussed a desire to recognize LRHS
athletes who are receiving scholarships with a signing event. A proposed
date is at the game versus Broughton April 24.
Fred Wollman will coordinate dates and schedules
with coaches for this years summer camps. He will require administrative
help to take registrations and coordinate details. Individuals were
mentioned who would make ideal prospects for this need, and they
will be asked appropriately.
A golf outing has been discussed to increase the
LRHS alumni activity for next year. The initial date discussed is
targeted around the Homecoming game October 6 versus Wakefield. Dates,
locations and details to come as this event materializes.
Spring pictures are scheduled for Feb. 24, beginning
at 2:40.
